Marina Marenco de Torrento
Lawyer and Notary
Marina Marenco de Torrento is a lawyer and notary public. She served as a Justice of the Constitutional Chamber and has a distinguished career in Family Law and specialized justice, developed over four decades in public and judicial administration. She has held positions in the Attorney General's Office (1975–1994) and subsequently served as a Family Court Judge in Santa Ana (1994–2001) and San Salvador (2001–2018). She also served as an Alternate Magistrate of the Family Court (2005–2018) and as a Councilor of the National Council of the Judiciary (2011–2016). This extensive experience has allowed her to develop a comprehensive understanding of family conflict, judicial protection, and the correct standard of decision-making, expertly managing the criteria and requirements of Salvadoran courts.
EDUCATION
She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of El Salvador, a Master's degree in Public Management, Justice, and Security (Spain), and a Postgraduate degree in National Security and Development from the College of Advanced Strategic Studies. In academia, she has taught Family Law, Family Procedural Law, and Civil Law at Dr. José Matías Delgado University since 1998. She has also served as a trainer at the Judicial Training School of the National Council of the Judiciary (CNJ). Currently, she is a professor at the Higher School of Economics and Business.
Leonardo Gallegos García

Leonardo is a family law attorney with experience handling complex divorces, custody and family life disputes, child support and spousal support, as well as obtaining protective orders in cases of domestic violence. His practice is characterized by cases involving financial disputes, vulnerable situations, and urgent decisions requiring sound and strategic legal intervention. He has worked both independently and in court, which has allowed him to develop a deep understanding of court procedures, decision standards, and the technical aspects of hearings and appeals, particularly when family conflicts become complex or sensitive.
EDUCATION
He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dr. José Matías Delgado University, graduating with honors (Cum Laude), and a postgraduate degree in Administrative Procedural Law from the Technological University of El Salvador. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Children's, Women's, and Family Law at the Evangelical University of El Salvador. He complements his professional work with academic experience, having served as a university instructor of Constitutional Procedural Law at Dr. José Matías Delgado University, integrating a constitutional and human rights perspective applied to family law into his practice.
